Sunday – July 11, evening
I got back to the airport early and collected my luggage that had arrived from LAX early this morning. It is just SUCH a relief when they confirm it has arrived. And before anyone lectures me on the joys of carry-on only travel… I know, I know, I know. And how I wish I could manage one tiny bag to do me nearly two weeks!
So, I got my luggage and lo and behold, there was a STARBUCKS at the Arrivals gate. Oh my goooooodness, what a sweet reunion! I had a lovely iced ‘Americano’ with my shot of sugar-free vanilla flavoring. Luggage. And iced Starbucks. Though I was tired from the day, everything suddenly seemed perfect.
The flight to Dalian was smooth and quick. I arrived around 10pm (and yes, with luggage). The driver whisked me away to the hotel and I settled in quickly. I’m looking forward to the next couple of days here in Dalian. It’s always good to see the team here… And we have a couple of visitors coming in, so it will be a revolving door of meetings and introductions. All good… all progress. See you soon…
