I went out with my Dalian team tonight for dinner. The team wanted Japanese for dinner (great…. I’m heading into Japan and need a head-start on the shashimi!) and there must have been 40 dishes served through the night (think ‘tapas’). One of the dishes was fresh (yes, uncooked) octopus… and the cut pieces of the legs were still moving. It was TOTALLY gross. I was squirming and pretty disgusted… and one of my guys told me to ‘Eat Your Fear’. How great is that? Ancient Chinese philosophy is going to stick with the American Girl… I love it: EAT YOUR FEAR! (And no, I didn’t have any of the ‘moving dish’ – too many jokes about “Paul the Octopus” retiring!)
