I’m here. My luggage is here. My travelling colleague did not get off quite so easily as he was ‘Stranded in Seoul’ for the night. Flights out of the States were easy – but what is it with all the babies on the long treks across The Pond? (btw – by ‘babies’ I’m referring to ‘infants’ – not whiny travellers) I shouldn’t complain; but I had read in the last few days about a new trend to have ‘family sections’ in airplanes and after these last few trans-Pacific excursions, I am ALL FOR IT! I swear there was no less than half a dozen screaming babies in my cabin alone – and the place smelled like a diaper pail. (I know… a collective ‘Ewwwwww…’ is totally justified.) And they were on a clear rotation – one would scream for an hour (I don’t have the energy to scream for 10 minutes – so how can they wail for an hour?!), then the next would take his turn. Despite noise-cancelling headphones and the Glee soundtrack on iPad; it was a noisy ride.
