Today’s shopping was wonderful – I really need to find a way to make a career of this. We started the afternoon with a really nice lunch where my friends presented me with a post-Christmas present: a 23kt gold Kasu pendant. The Kasu is a ceremonial gold coin that has the image of Lakshmi – goddess of wealth and prosperity. The coin is heavily used in weddings – some brides wear long draping belts made of the precious gold. I had been interested in the coins on my last visit and my friends were so thoughtful to present me with this special treasure. Of course, though, it started the begats… as in a pendant begats something to put it on! Didn’t take us long to find a delicate 23kt chain to match and we were on our way… On our way to shoes, purses, fabric, and sugar-free gulab jamons! What a great day. 🙂 Oh, by the way, the weather is absolutely GORGEOUS here. Low 80s by day; 60s at night. Rumor has it we’re expecting a winter snowstorm back home. As for me, I’ll be sitting by the pool every day here! Lovin’ it!
