What’s the old saying about “coming in like a lamb or a lion”? Well, honey… my Mama didn’t raise no lamb! 🙂

I arrived home-home tonight at the LaLit Ashok. I swear it looked and sounded like a Mardi Gras parade! My luggage made for a sizable parade float, of course, and I was in full Diva mode. I made lots of noise from the moment I drove up, hanging out of the still-moving car shouting “Hi, honey, I’m h-o-o-o-o-o-o-m-e!” at the top of my lungs to my front portico pals (and they called me by my name – first and last!)… to giggling with glee as the reception team sent me to “my room” overlooking the pool… to my dinner table already being reserved for me (they had done everything but pre-order)… Of course, all this commotion terrified the other guests… and delighted the staff and me. Oh, well… we win.

While having dinner in the Baluchi half an hour after arrival (yes, the lemon prawns were as good as ever) one of my servers told me innocently that he ‘saw me dance into the lobby when I arrived’… And I guess I did dance. My Bangalore Happy Dance. It’s good to be back!
