Well, I’m sick. Head-chest-throat snotty sick. Being sick in India is a national emergency, and so Balu took note of my condition this morning and promptly sent the driver on a detour on my way to the office. I even caught him trying to pay for my medicine – slipping the driver 20 Rs (which I reimbursed after I caught him giving the money to the driver). Anyway – it was very thoughtful and very sweet. The driver took me around to a local pharmacy and returned with some lozenges called Strepsils. Not sure I want to put anything in my mouth with the word “Strep” in it… but will have to trust them on this one.

While the driver was making the pickup at the pharmacy, I hopped out of the car and bought some jasmine for the office. I don’t even ask the price anymore – I just hand them 10 Rs. and they give me my flowers… Makes the office smell nice, and I always do love having fresh flowers around. Of course, the driver came back to the car while I was paying and making my snaps… the look on his face was priceless, it said “Woman, what are you doing?!”

Back at the office I’ve had numerous visits from the team. They’re all trying to send me home to “take rest”… I told them I’m not terminal, but they’re persistent. 🙂 I’ll be fine. I always am.
